Wow. That sucks! Was it the arm on the plate that goes forward and engages the lug, or did the lug strip off the swingarm? I'd think (if it was the latter) that you could bolt it to the swingarm somehow.... Which would probably be a better system anyway (reinforce the wheel position and be easier to install/deinstall than monkeying around with sliding/twisting the current setup). Qucik fix might be using hose clamp. but I sure wouldn't trust the back brake.... Please let su know what you come up with.
